I just did a quick browse of threads I created and just seeing some of the things we've experienced over the years. Many good, some bad, but we always seem to come out stronger in the end. Every time I get on I see so many new faces that I did not know before and, in a way, it gives me a kind of comfort to know that we've continued the march onward through trials and tribulations. When I first joined this clan, we had 3 servers through a rinky-dink server company. About 40 members in the clan at that time. Hell, nowadays, we get about 40 new members a week. I might just be waxing nostalgia here, but it's just very uplifting to see the clan progress as it has. I saw threads where I fought for some to get positions they deserved (and unfortunately, some who weren't as deserving) or to get recognition (or infamy) owed to them. And for anyone who has aspirations in this clan (which I hope you all do), I just want you to know, I started in this clan as an absolute nobody. When I first played on Hell Tonic servers, I didn't know a single person. I had bought Counter-Strike: Source with my first paycheck from my first job and happened to go to the Office NTF server. I had no real skill set for coding, graphic design, website creation or anything. Just dedication to a clan that I saw potential in. And here we are today, as I add this post to a forum that is in it's fourth incarnation with over 200,000 posts recorded. Every bit is a piece of HG history.
