Weeman
I have the exact same mobo go with http://www.amazon.com/AMD-FX-8150-8-Core-Processor-FD8150FRGUBOX/dp/B005UBNLFK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1352225812&sr=8-1&keywords=processor+amd the difference is you're paying a shit load less since the other has some low end liquid cooled fan (it's shit compared to other forms of it). and if you have cooling issues (which you shouldnt) then buy this instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233082&Tpk=xigmatek%20gaia

Now the difference between the first two cpu's is the operating frequency. The AMD FX-8120 operates at 3.1 GHz. The AMD FX-8150 operates at 3.6 GHz. For the given two, a higher operating frequency means that the processor can operate faster. I would go with what Weeman said, the 8150 (air cooled version) would do the trick and you won't have to spend a lot of money on some POS that will barely work. AnonyHorse
You shouldnt need a new mobo at all. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284 Thats one of the new 8core processors from amd. The bulldozers were a huge letdown but AMD finally pulled their shit together with the new lineup. I'd grab this one personally, if not this should suffice. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113285

Have you done any BIOS updates throughout your ownership of the board Red?
DarkMonotone
Yep already cost me 200, may be more 221, so yeah wont derp no more. There is NO WAY you need that good of a computer for CSS... I'd go with the second one, you really shouldn't need the third one assuming all you do is CSS.
Plaayer
I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that the Crosshair V doesn't support Vishera with stock BIOS. Have you done any BIOS updates throughout your ownership of the board Red? It doesn't. Red, you'll have to update your BIOS if you want to use the new series of FX processors to their latest 1703 revision. However, ASUS makes it stupid simple with their EZ Flash 2 thingy they got goin' on. Like Anonymau5, I'd suggest the FX-8350.
