*new Radar System On Jailbreak*

I just wanted to express my opinion about the new radar option for CTs on jailbreak and how i think it really hurts the game for T's

 

- I love rebelling and a lot of other people do and if there is a person rebelling when there are 3 T's left it is impossible to win and or get LR if you are rebelling because of the radar

 

- You can also see how much the new radar system is affecting the game as far as CT vs T game win score in general, it used to be around 25% ct's would win a round now its more like 60% cts winning even if there are massive derps i think it is because of the new radar

 

- If you have a warday in obsticle its very unfair that cts can know immediately where a t is coming from even though there are 3 ways to get in and makes it very hard for the T's to win a warday now pool has the same issue

 

- i think 333rep for a radar is also way too low again if you are rebelling and want to run and hide and try to get lr or kill warden there is always someone who has bought the radar and will eventually sniff you out

 

overall i think its just really taking away the fun and prestige of hiding and being invisible and getting a rebel LR

i made quite a long post before about this a long time ago about how T's had way too many advantages and how easy it was to rebel for many reasons on both sides.. and this little add-on bonbon put in is perfect.

this little bitching because "its too hard to rebel" is a load of crap, maybe if you learn how to be good at CSS and play smarter you can always make a decent impact if you have the opportunity.. and there are plenty of those, you just have to notice them and take risks. maybe if you played years ago like some of us around here you would have seen how hard it used to be to rebel. rebelling was a real challenge and anyone that killed a CT was applauded. its still way too easy now.

333 rep is actually a lot. the average person in jailbreak probably only has a few thousand rep and that will run out quick if they are buying round after round. the only people that could afford this radar all the time would be people that donate money to HG and get a ton of rep for it.. and why shouldnt they be rewarded for their donations? They can (and often do) use that rep on the T side, buying cell openers all the time and boosting their bomb damage and such. this is silly. thank you bonbon, dont change anything.

1. I don't think you guys understand. IF YOU ARE REBELLING, YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO GET LR. LR is for the Ts that actually participated in the day. Ideally the two Ts that get LR should be the two Ts that are say left on obstacle and actually participated in the day. If you're rebelling, you're supposed to kill the entire CT team and win that way, not hide in the vents for 4 minutes.

 

 

2. And as for the score drastically increasing on the CT side, this is just because the radar update coincided with me updating the score system. Now, CTs count as a win if they get to LR, and Ts count as a win if they get to Last CT. So the score on the scoreboard for CT side is how many times LR has occurred, and the T score is how many times Last CT has occurred. That's the real reason you saw the big jump, not because of the radar. And, as of next server restart, for shiggles I've disabled this. So now you're going to see Ts with 100 wins and CTs win 30 wins. I guess that means we need to give more advantage to the CTs, right?

 

 

3. As for the price of radar hacks, cell opener costs 288 rep, radar hacks cost 333. If you want I can increase the cost of BOTH.

 

4. But if there's anything good to come from this thread for those who hate radar hacks.

and It doesnt work with invisible

 

It should work for invisible, I never really thought about that. But, that being said, I'll now code it so that if you're invisible, CTs can't see you on their radar no matter what. Also, I've disabled this feature on thursday.

I like the idea. If anything, it makes the game even more balanced and fun. You aren't having to wait 2 minutes for them to find a rebeller when there are only 3 T's left, and if you have any skill at all then you shouldn't be whining at some CT's coming your way. I was rebelling the other day and I was one of the last 3, and I was hiding in obs. When the radar came on, I went into kill mode and still managed 5 kills before they got to me. It made me more mobile, and I know people hate to see T's camp knife/armory vents while the other T's are stuck following the lead's orders.

 

But honestly, people are going to complain no matter WHAT you do with the game, but I honestly really do like this new feature. And, I'm sure all of the players who are dead that round like it too.
