Counter-Strike Go New Server

Our server has been terrible since the server switch. Most US (United States) users would get around 30-80 ping, now 60-120. I understand we might be moving servers, but this is not the directions we should be moving towards. The CS:GO Jailbreak server has been the most profitable server in the past 4 months and I believe it is not only fair but necessary to buy a better server for our growing community. We need to buy a server that everyone has acceptable ping (preferably Midwest United States as 80% of our users are from the United States and Dallas/Chicago Servers have the best bandwidth within the states for the price) . If we could take some of the ridiculous profit we make from this server and put it into making a better server, I think the progression, and profit of this server would increase, not only that but the Hellsgamers community would get such respect that we deserve. Let's get a new server, plain and simple.

living in Canada i have had decent ping every time, but since the new update, i lag for smoke, when i look at too many people, or when i talk on mic. Its a weird feeling and i do agree with poop that AT LEAST we should look into it.

I agree with Poop. I've noticed an increase in the amount of people who complain on the server being much more laggy recently. Not only random people, but the regular people who have been on this server for a while. Some days everybody's ping spikes up unexpectedly. I've seen everybody's ping shoot up to ~400 which is just unacceptable. This server switch might have been a step in the wrong direction.

Obviously with this amount of attention, this needs to be attended to. I would love to explain exactly what is going on in the server as there is literally a long list. Please let all of us know your standing on the situation as this is very important to all of us.

Agreed, the lag got really bad lately. 300 days are awful, you just knife around hoping to kill someone.

I don't know what you're talking about with this "Server switch". CS:GO JB has never switched servers, and it's been quite a long time since CS:S JB was. I think you're getting the jailbreak box mixed up with one of our other boxes, which was recently upgraded ( https://hellsgamers.com/_/hellsgamers-news/server-news/server-upgrade-e5-2690s-r249 )

The server lagging wouldn't effect you lagging for either of these. This particular lag is coming from your side.

Doubt it' date=' our CS:S JB most likely still brings in more money, but even if it didn't I believe perp still brings in even more than JB.

All of our US servers are already located in dallas.

 

And as for the "increase in ping", I haven't personally seen a single increase. Since day one I've been getting the exact same ping, unless I'm downloading on my end, 80-110.

Stop downloading porn while you all play. That will solve everything.

 

Make sure that you guys all make the most of your PC resources (closing out unnecessary programs/services, etc.) so that your game runs at optimum (or satisfactory) performance.

I was going to say as Bonbon already did, The JB servers have not been moved or upgraded since creation, as well they are located in Dallas Texas. I did however mention in a few places that I am upgrading the JB servers soon to a new box with high specs similar to the other server box we recently upgraded (http://hellsgamers.c...e-e5-2690s-r249). So sit tight, and the server will be running on the latest technology soon.

Thank you homer. The ping has been SHIT recently regardless of what other uppers say that don't even play here. Used to get great ping and not lag, recently GLITCHY (not lagging excuse me) occurrences have been popping up and I appreciate you dealing with them. We are not downloading porn while playing, there is seriously something wrong since we 'upgraded' our servers. The cs:go server is one of the most profitable servers, so don't act like we don't deserve what all of our members are requesting. Thank you.

I gotta say. I been playing on a terrible laptop fine. I don't get any lag except when Netflix is on downstairs, even then it's minimal. (Yet again, I live in Houston).

 

I have seen a rise in people complaining about lag though, but whereever you place the server people gonna complain.

 

Also, people are always going to use the cheapest possible machine thinking they'll get the best results. Even when we upgrade, I bet you 1000 rep that someone will be complaining Day 1 of the upgrade.

Usually when i play, the ping would be alright (60-80) but i think its the lag in the server, not the ping. There would be a sudden lag spike every so often.
