joKer Posted March 3, 2013 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Wow. Just....wow. Alright, Just to here from my side, my name was thrown around quite a bit in a couple locked threads here now. I was very unsure as to what i should have done in that matter. It all started when someone changed there name to Knee Grow. I warned in all chat to change name for implied racism. They changed name to Negro. I kicked them and stated in the reasoning "racism". This was a blatent racist issue and nothing to do with the Spanish language. This was a spark that set off a powder keg, so it seems, because instantly EVERYONE WAS SCREAMING. People were saying that word isnt racist because its spanish for black. I warned in all chat to stop saying that word because it is a derogatory term. I WENT AND ASKED ICON IN TS3 IF I WAS CLEARED TO KICK FOR USE OF THAT WORD. He told me I was. Subsequently, I kicked people who continued to use it until no one was anymore. ONLY CHIEF AND BERIOUSLY! I never banned anyone for use of that word that day. I followed Warn/Kick/Ban. Please realize just incase this happens again, IF AN ADMIN SAYS ITS RACIST, DO NOT SAY IT. dont try and argue, you will lose. Link to comment

mccaincracker Posted March 3, 2013 Share Posted March 3, 2013 You did the right thing joker, don't be afraid to drop the ban hammer if you've already kicked and warned a player. If they argue with you after you've given them warnings it's their own fault when they get banned. Link to comment
