Anger Issues

I was told to cool down a little bit on smacktalk by beast. I do agree with him but honestly really don't want to. I'm having fun with it. He said I don't want to look bad on the community so I was wondering if I left the community but remained an active admin on the server if this would clear any negative issues directed to HG. Again, not anger towards beast as he is right, I'm just trying to find a mutually positive idea to not have by look bad but me retain my level of fun.

If you quit HG and still trash talk you're still gonna get banned. The rule is "Some trash talk is fun but not too much". Its not a rule for recruits+ its a rule for everyone and if beast says "Stop trash talking so much" then leaving won't change anything

and mark, I understand that. It wasn't a lot but the main point that beast brought up was looking bad on hg. I don't overly trashtalk but it seems ever little thing I say warrants an abuse or ban report, all denied because its small trash talk. But I think I've found an answer.

These are the three main takeaway points or issues that need to be addressed. 1, if you can't have fun playing without making it less fun for others, you really don't belong in or around the community at all. 2, yes it can be fun, but you should be able to squelch it for the greater fun of the game itself. 3, our admins reflect on HG whether or not they are members. Leaving HG and remaining as an admin with that same attitude of "To have fun I have to act this certain way" is just as unhelpful. Frankly, the fact that you seem to value your membership in HG whether as a member or a friend (secret, they're more or less the same) as less than the fun you get out of making it less fun for others troubles me.

 

I used to be the same way. Then I found out the hard way that the greater good outweighs your individual 'right' to have fun, and that you can and will be removed if those two conflict too much. In other words, as a member or a friend, if you want to stay around HG you'd better come correct.

 

Greater good being 42/46 in the server right? Or even say 50%? Because when I get angry and start smacktalking its because one or two people are ruining everyone's fun. I've been in game with a full server where I never get angry because everyone has fun. I've been in, see last abuse report, where two people were ruining it for everyone. I fixed it, and now get this talk? Sorry I didn't know greater good was to let two people ruin everyone's fun, ill have to remember that one next time I decide, or don't anymore, to use admin powers or my voice to make the game fun. Maybe before you talk you should see what happens in this situation. I don't doubt you have been there before but when no DL is there in game and a DA condones my actions because they made the game more fun for THE GREATER GOOD then I guess I misunderstand the fuckin message. Until such a time that I get told to stop by MY DIVISION LEADER OR ADVISORS after they watch my actions I will continue to act this way because it is to help this greater good you talk about.

The thing is even if you have the HG tag on or not, you have the admin tag, which in perspective people will see you somehow associated with HG as a community.

 

Like mark said there is some room for trash talk but what you did was kind of over the top for that situation, and to go on what red said jb is full of trolls do not get into an argument with them, that's exactly what they want. All you do is handle them accordingly and there is no need for the over the top trash talking.

Hey guys

 

I feel like I owe you guys this apology and its long overdue.

 

With me leaving HG, I did it on shitty terms. I came up with excuses and used small problems to cover for what i didn't want to admit was happening. I was diagnosed with a dissociative disorder and, how it ended up, was causing me to become an asshole and not enjoy doing anything mostly video games. As i don't want to hide behind this as an excuse I will admit that I really was angry with that stuff but no where near the point i expressed. I took a reason to be an asshole to an extent not needed to be taken for anything. I joined rG after that to help with music they needed. After this they told me that they were promoting me and using my music for some machinimas they were making, After saying i didn't want to be an actual part of it they kicked me out and stole my music making me not want to play games with anyone and took some time to myself to get better. Since getting better I have returned to HG and as i said to both of you today, haven't gotten an abuse report in over a month, which i think is awesome for me. But the main point of this message is to let you know that I am sorry for the way i left. I left like an absolute ass and now return feeling better and, more importantly, happier with who I am.

 

Sorry if this seems out of right field but I think you all, most importantly, deserve this apology.
