He'll admit to doing this if you ask him, he told me to report him. I don't do demos, and I have screenshots of us talking about it, but again just talk to him.

Jailbreak is a server in which orders are given and ts must follow orders. Almost every round that Cataclysm gets lead he gives an order that is spoken not typed that is as follows:

 

"when i say the magical word banana you may go to big cage"

 

He then says "banana," and any terrorists that move to big cage are killed. His reasoning is that he did not say "the magical word banana." The problem with this is that we can't tell if he means that we are supposed to move when he says "BANANA" or when he says 'THE MAGICAL WORD BANANA.'

 

Or to make it clearer does he mean:

when i say the magical word: BANANA

OR

when i say: THE MAGICAL WORD BANANA.

 

There is no way to tell when you HEAR it said, as punctuation doesn't exist in the spoken word. As a consequence of this, I asked him to say it in a way that would clarify the order, so that he wouldn't be freekilling terrorists every round that were following orders as they interpreted it (because both interpretations are correct). I asked him to say it as follows:

"When i say the phrase, 'the magical word banana,' you may go to big cage."

 

This makes it clear that when he uses the phrase, 'THE MAGICAL WORD BANANA' rather than the magical word: 'BANANA.'

 

He refused to do this. And repeatedly round after round it would lead to a dozen terrorists dying because of how unclear the order was. While I was the one spearheading the complaints about these unclear orders (as it was very confusing as a terrorist) there were others that piped up about it, but because cataclysm is a bully of an admin, most people gave up easily.

 

I would like HG to clarify to this admin that he has a responsibility when leading as a CT to be as clear as possible with his orders, and that by not doing this (especially after repeatedly being called out on it), it is a violation of his responsibility as an admin.

 

I type all of this knowing that it's not the end of the world. Regardless, I do not think he should be leading until he's capable of taking criticism for his mistakes and is able to adjust his leading strategy as a consequence of feedback on his unclear orders.

I didnt know if this fell under tlist or abuse because he's an admin. Ill attach a screenshot of our convo in second here, but i couldn't demo it. Again, just talk to him about it because he'll admit to doing this.
