Map Update Request Thread

If you want to request a map please visit this thread.

 

The purpose of this thread is to serve as a way for mappers to notify Gmod Leadership that a map they have created has been updated and they would like to have the current version on rotation replaced. This also allows leadership to track and manage these requests in a neat and organized manner.

If you have a map pack please use the template for each map being updated, you may use the same download link to the whole pack however.

 

**Make sure you test your maps properly before you request to update it on the server. You may also request a map update for a map on rotation that you did not create yourself but has been updated (ex: a map from the Steam Workshop).

 

Examples to follow as I will complete some for mappers who already requested updates. (you are not forced to add the colors/font sizes, as long as you follow what is asked for)

Reason for update (if applicable): I hear since the new collision custom the door of this map is completely broken and wont open, forced to make new version for remove these doors

Despite the map name being changed, it is still based off the former map. This update offers lots more content than the previous one.

 

The map is now 5 times bigger, and a science lab was added on the other side of the map where zombies now spawn in. The laboratory has at least 30 props and has several rooms in it.

 

There is now a road that separates the science lab from the house(s) that were in the previous versions. The park was also expanded to give more space, and the tiny wooden shed in the park is now moved next to the house.

Reason for update (if applicable): The only shit I made on this map is because I made the room or spot too close where we need to defend, that system force human to stack and create big lag. Recently server was increased to 100 slot (maybe more in the summer?) I want end with this lag I just rezise some part and increase the difficulty of the map needed. I dont like make lot version of this map I hope this version is the last.

I've also noticed at the back of the white building you can fall through the grass

 

Edit: I also found an invisible near the parking lot alonside the fence, please be sure to fully test and make sure there are no bugs.

 

Fixed the problems.you found. An invisible wall was going through the skybox, which caused the skybox to not work right, and brushes to disappear.

Also, you have these random rooms which can't be accessed but when I went to them (via noclip) you could just walk out and go under the map.

And by climbing to the roof on the new white building you can get outside/under of the map by jumping down the sides or at the back.

  • Removed duplicate textures
  • Fixed hole in second floor of yellow house
  • Removed teleporters (caused lag and nobody used them)
  • Fixed areaportals
  • Made the train track bar not insta kill you
  • Removed unnecessary door locks (Money room and TP room)

v2 is already on the server so I will need v3 to not cause conflicts with those who have already downloaded v2

V4 Is now Out! This is pretty much a mayor optimization and gameplay update. I updated graphically a lot of areas so they look nicer. This update makes some areas of the map easier to allow the humans to get further into the map. :3

 

+Added Trigger push in the elevator shaft so the humans literally cant jump down into the fire. *Pushed the Ladder in the elevator shaft a bit further into the wall to make it easier to go down. +Extended the wood boards to make harder falling in the elevator shaft

+Added lots of extra areaportals to optimize the map even more.

+Extra props in some places

+Added Extra Store in the second store line (Cain Industries)

+Added free gluon inside Cain Industries

+Added lots of wood boards to give humans a bit of time to build a cade in some of the harder areas. +Added a new ending involving bob

-Removed 1 Pukepus Spawn

*Moved Wild Palkia's store into the first store line

 

And more stuff you guys wont even notice. lel

We've decided to not put hg in maps, I would need the 'hg' to be removed from the name when you can please.

Fixed all of the issues you listed last time, fixed the invisible walls except for the invisible wall on the fence. I still don't know what that is. Maybe I fixed it, not 100% sure, but I walked next to the fence and I could walk just fine next to it.

 

Also made the skybox look a lot nicer, and fixed up the laboratory, house and shed more

 

UPDATE MAY 21. 2017:

 

Added another house to the town to cade in with lots of furniture, and added lamp poles on the sides of the streets.
