It's just a big issue with net neutrality. Those companies, like Verizon, think that the media suppliers should pay them for access to their consumer base. Basically it's a lose - lose situation for the consumer and companies like Netflix, Hulu, and Google. It's just greedy people causing problems like this, they won't upgrade their infrastructure. So we need companies like Google, Cincinnati Bell, Skybest, people who are pushing Fiber-optic networks in their areas. It's like buying a fast car to drive on the race track, only to find out the company limited you to 100mph, then you have to pay more money to go faster even though the car is supposed to go faster to begin with.
It's disgusting, no wonder our country is ranked 31 in internet speeds, and we invented the internet too.
