Seeing as this was going to happen regardless, and I've figured out most of the details, here you go to keep your ZS fix...well fixed!

 

Welcome to the War on Peace pack! A continuous supply drop of content that will tickle your fancy!

 

This pack is a long time coming (on my end) and really only has been publicly known for the last few days (as some fellow HG members and recruits got to help me stress test and fix internal issues with the weapons they've seen so far) so here's the official announcement of this pack of weapons!

 

Three companies are going to be introduced to this pack, all three bringing one unique strength, common strengths and weaknesses and a whole lot of nice looking weaponry for you to lay your hands on! They are Machter Firearm Corp, Rapture Munitions and Stavin Krinkov Armoury

Machter Firearm Corp

 

Before the Apocalypse, Machter manufactured weapons that were considered to be the best all round civilian weaponry money could buy at the prices they sold. And no wonder. Most if not all of their weaponry won multiple awards for just decimating the competition. Pistols and Rifles alike fell out of their thrones when Machter decided to roll onto the scene. Even after the Apocalypse struck and sent civilization upside-down, Machter continued to manufacture in pre-built underground bunkers, willing to supply the surviving population for a small premium.

 

Specialization : General Arms (meaning they cover pistols, rifles, shotguns etc.)

 

Unique Strength : Superior movement speed.

 

All Machter weapons will be faster at running than any of their comparable rivals in the field. Great if you need to get out of a sticky situation.

 

Other pros :

  • Good firerate; all of their weapons are geared towards automatic fire.
  • Good accuracy for intended range

Drawbacks :

  • More expensive compared to their rivals. They may have been cheap before the Apocalypse but since they are high in demand, they are jolly expensive.
  • Punishes inaccuracy. Spraying and praying will get you nowhere with these weapons. They are marksmen grade weaponry, pure and simple.

Rapture Munitions

 

Favoured by the US military for their brilliant stopping power which could punch a hole through the thickest body armour Al-Qaeda could get their hands on, Rapture Munitions is the most established company of the three, being founded before the Crimea War started in 1849. With their age comes wisdom, and although their weapons may be heavier than some would like, the enemy won't really be laughing too much when the bullet goes in through his noggin and out through the back of the head at 1800 feet per second.

 

Specialization : Rifles & Assault Rifles

 

Unique Strength : Superior damage per bullet.

 

All Rapture weapons have more damage output than their rivals per bullet. Great for picking single targets out and stopping them in their tracks.

 

Other pros :

  • Stationary accuracy is very good on Rapture guns compared to their rivals.
  • Prices competitively amongst their rivals.

Drawbacks :

  • They are heavy, and move quite a bit slower than their rivals.
  • Poor firerate over their rivals. Not good if you are stuck surrounded by a horde of zombies.

Stavin Krinkov Armoury

 

After helping the Allies to victory in WWII, Stavin Krinkov founded his own Armoury after the USSR secession from the rest of the world to compete with the Allies' growing development of weaponry. He was the first post WWII production company to produce an Assault Rifle, the SK-47 which went on to mass produce like nothing ever seen before, with over 100 million units sold around the world. And no wonder. With their cheap as can be production cost and excellent reliability, the Stavin Krinkov Armoury has something for the cash strapped individual to fight with.

 

Specialization : Assault Rifles and Shotguns

 

Unique Strength : Pricing.

 

All SKA weapons are priced quite a bit lower over their competitiors due to there being so many of them, giving that cash strapped survivor a very tasty alternative.

 

Other pros :

  • Accuracy overall is very good for SKA weapons due to their lack of overly complex parts at all.
  • Good firerate, allowing zombies to steer clear.

Drawbacks :

  • Repeatedly firing these weapons causes you to lose accuracy over time. Burst firing these weapons is key.
  • Poor damage output compared to their rivals.

 

 

 

So how will this pack be rolled out?

 

The pack will be rolled out in three stages, Machter coming first, Rapture coming next, and SKA coming straight after. Machter is almost ready to head out to the battlefield, just need to figure out a third weapon for it's initial time to shine.

 

Initially, all three companies will release 3 weapons with the following :

 

1x WW2 era weapon

1x Specialised weapon

1x Unique Strength Weapon

 

Wave 1 : Machter

"An old warhorse of an SMG, the Machter Advanced Rifling Kinematics 40 or M.A.R.K 40 was lifted from a downed U-Boat shipment and fixed up for the modern market.

It doesn't have the same fire rate as other high ranking SMG's, but has huge stopping power to compensate."

 

Run Speed : 235

Mag Capacity : 32

Damage Per Shot : 32 (NOT FINAL)

Rate of Fire : 455 Rounds Per Minute

 

 

 

[spoiler=Machter Combat Pistol]

"Originally destined for use with PMC's in Afghanistan, it found a second home in gun enthusiasts due to it's bang for the buck, auto fire and forgiving recoil.

The 9mm bullet may not provide adequate stopping power, but it's rate of fire more than makes up for it."

 

 

Run Speed : 245

Mag Capacity : 18

Damage Per Shot : 16

Rate of Fire : 470 Rounds Per Minute

 

 

The rest will all be revealed in due course!

You modeled these? Or added them to the code for waves

 

I did everything barring modelling them. So I did the following :

  • Removing the hands pre-compiled in the models
  • Converting them to be able to use GMOD's dynamic hands (c_hands)
  • Coding the SWEPS for them
  • Figuring out how the fuck they're going to work in the Purchase Menu

To be honest I will have to start modelling some weapons of my own here soon, running out of weapons to use :L

Another weapon has been spotted!

 

Wave 2 : Stavin Krinkov Armoury

 

SKA CM-27 Light Machine Gun

"Developed for the Russian Military to combat the Maxim Machine Gun during the Interwar Years, the SKA CM-27 or Cover Master '27 was ahead of it's time.

It's high damage output is tempting but it's still one heavy gun and it cannot be reloaded unless the bipod is deployed."

Damage Per Shot : 45

Rate of Fire : 415 Rounds Per Minute

SKT 40 Sniper Rifle

"Developed and used in numbers during the Patriotic War, the SKT-40 was a favourite amongst marksman for it's inert ability to punch a hole in the intended target.

It found good use with survivors in Russia as zombies could never truly find people using these weapons."

 

 

Run Speed : 210

Mag Capacity : 10

Damage Per Shot : 98

Rate of Fire : 215 Rounds Per Minute

Special Ability : Zombies won't be able to see your aura past 256 units (NOT FINAL).
