Kirbs
So if a multiplier for winning a map is set to 3x, someone with a score of 200 would earn 400 points for winning the map, and someone with a score of 2000 would earn 4000 points for winning the map. (Note that I say score multiplier instead of point multiplier) The score multipliers are calculated using the formula above, unfortunately, I only know how to graph it and not actually translate it into something that can run in the game's code. However, here are what some of the numbers look like using the formula: Win Rate | Score Multiplier 1% 7.089x 2% 5.025x 4% 3.571x 5% 3.203x 10% 2.294x 20% 1.667x 25% 1.512 50% 1.155x 75% 1.033x 90% 1.005x 100% 1x I believe this will encourage players to try harder in maps, as I usually see players just sitting around doing nothing and being lazy. Simply put, if you don't help, you earn no points for winning, and if you help out a lot, you earn LOADS of points for winning. EngineTrap
I would say this sound cool, but this sounds to me more like an excuse to make even more points. lmao BUT WHAT DO I KNOW? iProbie
great idea, but introduce an upper limit. many of these whores have more than 100,000 points to their names. and then the exponential effect kicks in and suddenly someone starting at 200 points can end up with 6400 points by just winning 4 times on 10% winrate maps. Ryze
Its an interesting idea but the multiplier should only kick in at something below a 15-20% win rate (even that might be too high) and be capped at a max 2x multiplier. Anything more will result in too much pointwhoring.
