Grim Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 So in my opinion, hellsgamers servers are going downhill in population, and decent communitys, nearly all of the css servers are shit now, and the only gmod server that is decent is the PERP server (until the zombie mod is made enjoyable). I dont know how hard it is to do stuff to make zombie mod more friendly of a server, but make a TTT style map vote/change, and have less shitty, and small maps. When i joined HG, it was a thriving community with cool people, and now it even seems like we are not that attractive friendly community anymore. Honestly, i feel like HG is becoming less and less appealing to be in, and im sure there are members that feel the same. I fear that if we dont do something, that HG will start to drasticly lose members that are those guys that everybody likes. the only part of hg that is even thriving now is tf2 and TOR, what happened to the "Multigaming" aspect? Also, if you want the clan to strive, recruit your friends. TF2 is free and CSS (along with all other valve games) is cheap. There are more divisions than just valve games as well. But now that I look around, you seem to be almost in the right completely. We're still here, and we're still kicking... But... it seems like the kick is weaker. Marginally, but still, weaker. You're the person who I hate because you're so much better then me with the huntsman. Seriously though, there is more to it than just recruiting friends. We've got to still prove we're the best, that our servers are the funniest still, and that the rules are still just as strict and yet just as fair as it was yesterday. We're a large clan, and it shows. We deal with hundreds of Ban/unban/abuse/tlist Requests every month. That means that people might still care. And if they still care, we're still strong. Even if it's just a clan mate doing the request, if they still care, who says the others don't care? Maybe they still do. Or maybe they don't, and we need to reach out even farther to prove to everyone that we are still the best damn clan out there, and that our servers are still the funniest, still the best moderated, and still the fairest. If we can't do that, then we need to get off our high horse and do it. Because without the people outside the clan, we wouldn't be here, and without us the people outside the clan wouldn't have our wonderful servers to populate. Yes people come and go, and if you think the servers are unpopulated, help get them populated! I know many of the CSS servers at primetime have a great player base. I have seen a lot of people come and go, gaming turnover is not a new thing. Some of these games are very old, and not every game is like wow or css. and even css is starting to decline as newer games come out. Just wait for cs:go to come out, if we have servers open for it day one, we will have a population jump. People come and go, it's the ones who stay that make it all worth while. The community isn't going downhill, its just you not getting to know enough people and/or being on the right times of day. I see 64/64 in jailbreak and d2dm #1 for 3+ hours a night, and i know a fair amount of people play GMOD. A lot of kids are switching to MMO's which may count towards the fact that you think people are leaving, because once you start playing MMO....you never quit. I've been here for 3 years, and most of my friends that I've made aren't active, but you don't see me crying about it. I'm going to stay in HG until it's gone. There's always ups and downs in population but HeLLsGamers is still one of the top, We been online since 2005. There are 830+ HG Members, 59 Game Servers and 154,168+ Steam Group Members. Many people don't have as much time because of school, and server peak times change, so it seems as if we're loosing people, which is not the case.
