!pd proposal

Well as we all know the JB server population has grown pretty much exponentially in the past 8 months or so. Along with this, something that has been quite annoying is how its almost impossible to roll !pd at the start of each round when there are 40 T's. Adjustments have been made in the past to help compensate for the abundance of players and still make the game enjoyable (ie: variable health boost for CTs). So I don't see why it should be, that even with it binded, I can play JB as T for 45 mins and get 1 roll from !pd (and turn red :omgimmad: ). If the odds are going to be that ridiculous it shouldn't even be there.

 

I just wanted to start this thread to propose the idea of making the number of "!pd" rolls variable to the number of T's in game, or increase it an leave it fixed at about 10 (or whatever number). 5 was ok when there used to be 32 people on the server when it was busy, but now when it's packed at 64 it's just not practical.

 

What do you guys think?

No... don't pick up the gun if you aren't responsible for using it.

 

Get the analogy? 5 is fine. Make a bind that uses PD from your console (bind <KEY> "pd"). It won't show up in chat so you won't get the flood prevention warning as fast and you can ram that button like your hot 3rd cousin twice removed on Thanksgiving night.

I gotta agree with Laz, there aren't always 40 people on such as now, there are 25 people. If they raise the !pd to 10 people per round that would basically mean half the team gets it. I see what point you are trying to make but it wouldn't work out if they did set it higher. Also, remember there are BAD rolls to such as electric chair and getting red, if the !pd was raised to 10 the possibilities could be like 5 people in electric chair or 2 in adminroom. It would also unbalance out the game for the cts, I mean how the hell would you lead and have like 4 rebellers in admin room and like 3 already invisible.

 

I like where you're going with but It simply won't work..

i won't be increasing the amount of people who can roll, without decreasing the chance of getting something good.

 

If anything, i would make it harder for the same people to get it round after round.

i find it hard to get a roll sometimes because of my ping and it lags before the round starts but i can still get !pd just need to time it right

 

If you have it bound, gotta time the bind right and you'll get it almost every round! (Its usually right before next round starts) :)
