Lt. Richard Posted September 18, 2012 Share Posted September 18, 2012 I have seen at least 50 templocks and perma locking in a 2 week time span... This is getting out of hand. Just because someone accidentally freekills they get tlisted even though they apologized... Thats not cool. I even had an instance where I accidently freeshot an admin because he got in the way of a shot, and I got Tlisted... Wtf is up with that? Is the admin process even in effect anymore? Warning-Slay-Temp switch-Perma switch. I have yet to see anyone use that. Isnt the purpose of an admin to provide fair play to all players? Do we really want to be known as a negative community? There's recently have been loads of new ppl in jb and those new ppl dont know the rules they fuck up to much, for example once i tlisted 6 dudes in a session, and yoou know why? Because these dudes have history, bad history of fk's and threatens, lately i've seen these dudes come back, and still fuck up, and since they have their history, we just go to tlist, and skip the warn>slay>templock>tlist or the warn>kick>ban Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Most cases if you warn one person then dont have to go person to person going that process. And admin may have warned them b4, or may have seen them derping b4. Some people derp everyday, many of them have tlist every single day. Thats what i have seen, but you may be right someone may be doing it over, then you take proof and report. If your a regular on the server, you know the rules, etc etc and you had a derp moment that got you t-listed; there's ways to get the t-listed removed. Normally if you talk it out with the person that t-listed you on Team Speak and just explain to them what happened, that your sorry for the incident for occurring, and that it won't happen again, then you'll untlist you. Unless of course you go freeshooting into a stack then you sir deserved to be tlisted without warning. But I'm talking about something like this: I didn't know you couldn't knife Ts to 'defend yourself' and that it's an easy way to get t-listed. Noyou tlisted me for knifing a T, when I was forced to reload, that was rebelling. I jumped into Teamspeak and I talked it out with him and I got untlisted. Normally if there was a simple misunderstanding, admins are very reasonable. Just dont do anything stupid to get you tlisted in the first place and you won't have any issues. Worst comes to worst, record every game. If you see anything fishy then grab their steam ID and post a aboose thread w/ the recording. EDIT: Looking over the Motd, It does say that admins are required to warn that specific player before taking action. Unless a higher up posts a sticky that is 'exceptions' to following the correct admin procedures, then I agree; a lot of admins have been misusing their admin. We have got a lot of new people on jailbreak recently and most just mess up on ct so he tlist/templock them for there actions. MOTD says if your new please play t for a bit. If someone has a problem with it and they have proof. They can come here and make a report. Red has nothing else better to do at work then tlist ppl and get admin abusers in trouble, so ur report will get looked at. Other then that there is nothing that can really get done. Many times when their is 61 ppl in the server and multiple derps its hard to follow the script 100% but I believe the admins who admin on JB do a pretty good job Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, if the offender has a prior history of bad behavior and has been warned multiple times in the past, then i could see justification. That being said, we cannot know everything that goes on in the servers. We need help from the members and guest of the community to solve problems like these. The hard part about proof is that someone needs to take the time to read through the chat and watch full demos...that takes some time. I do think there is an issue with how warnings are made. I think Verbal, ingame chat warnings are hard...lost of mic spaming and we have all seen how fast the chat is. couple options...require CT's to have console enabled. and require them to allow admins of HG to add as friends on Steam Chat...that way there is a way to provide warnings and for CTs to have the ability to comminicate with an admin in game.
