CS-GO, Jailbreak, spectators and HG members

So i guess ill start with the spectators. i dont know exactly why but it seems to me there are almost always 2 admins/ HG guys spectating all the time but are afk, im talking 2-10 hours at a time.

this makes it extremely hard for an active admin on the server to go to spectate mode and actually watch for rule breakers/cheaters, since the spectate slots are taken.

 

this also creates the problem of looking at the "game info" seeing HG members with high scores, and thinking there are admins to run things, and that the game is going well. only to enter and be met with freekillers and cheaters while the 2 admins/HG members are AFK spectating for hours at a time.

 

im also noticing a trend of the younger HG admins simply telling people to "record and post on the forums" when people start complaining about freekilling, instead of going to spectate or simply paying more attention to the freekills. to me this also shows a great deal of disrespect towards the general players, as it is not the job of the players to moderate the server, its the job of the admins on at the time. if these people cant be bothered to take 2-3 minutes out of their gaming to do some proper admining, why do they have admin at all? other than 14 year old bragging rights

 

also ive been seeing a lot of HG members on the jailbreak server team stacking. while you cannot make a person play the game how you want, its very disturbing to join jailbreak and see 5 CT's and 32 T's, 5-6 of those T's being HG members

 

to me it shows a general unwillingness to play the other side in order to make the game work right, and is a poor representation of your community. a poor representation because it shows your community that not all the members are there for the community, but only want the tags as a status symbol or bragging rights.

Me being a younger memeber Whenever they tell you to record a demo, and post it on the forums its so they can get tlisted for more than 2 hours. We have had lots of threads along this same subject.

Most admin given on the server is for those members to actually moderate, they weren't given it just to look cool.

As stated previously, paid admins don't have to do anything. There are very very few people who play jailbreak that have admin free to them. If they do then they usually run the [A] and [dL] next to their name.

That's because thats how things are run around here. If you want a longer punishment on someone for rulebreaking then you compile a report and you post it. The according leadership will get to it as soon as possible. If you admin within the server then theres a very limited amounts of punishment you can give out without being called out for 'abuse'.

Again, most admins on the JB server have paid their way to get admin. Making it not a job but an extra power they are now entitled to.

If you're having trouble in the server send a message to the admins online, be nice of course, and im sure they'll get to it when they can. If not gather up proof and post a report and people will get to it. If you just endlessly rant then theres very little that we, leadership, can do about it.

i think that any member of any clan playing on that server should play in a fair and balanced manor. this should also include playing on the opposite team if things are unbalanced.

 

if someone is both an HG member and has admin. they should be doing something about it instead of telling players to deal with it themselves. people will stop coming to the server because of this. it creates animosity between the players when a figurehead of the server simply chooses to do nothing.

 

being told to record is not usualy someone looking to t-list for 2 hours, its people looking for ANY kind of punishment to the offending player.

 

i also do not need to message an admin. i already went and bought admin for myself simply because of seeing HG-admins do nothing

 

ive already seen several regular players move on to other servers because of these issues, so i figured id post about it so people were aware. whether or not you guys care about keeping your regular visitors happy or not is up to you.

Ive been looking at server stats since 2008 so dont try to throw population stats around.

 

No admin is required to do anything. And if willing - they cannot act on word. They must see it occur.

 

The people who DO represent our community AND are expected to perform - are here on the forums waiting for you

you know this really makes me mad, I got admin on this server through bonbon so that I could help moderate the server, I am a "younger player" (age 14) and I do tell people all the time to record and post a demo. if i dont see it then I cannot do anything about it so dont bitch that admins arent doing anything. I get this all the time, people say "wooww bad admin" because I wont t-list the person they accused of freekilling. wheres the proof? want me to just do it and get stripped? no, if i see it i'll act upon it. thank you very much

uhh no they won't! most of our servers are always full since around 2005-2006 so dont even try to say that

As stated before admins don't have to do a thing if the don't want to. Yes we tell people to record demos and it is highly suggested to do so because like you have been told we must see it to act on it.

The main problem i've experienced is the general lack of HG members on the server, most of those who play jailbreak mainly play on the CSS server (it's what they're used to, fewer bugs, etc). Once we gain more of a member base for CSGO things will smoothen out. I've spent several hours playing on the server

1.) Because there's no other admins online or lack of

2.) Try to encourage more people to join HG to help guide players how to play, inform people of the rules ETC.

 

And of course, if you would like to take any part in helping clean up the server taking the initiative to make reports or even purchase admin yourself is always a good step to helping the server.

 

On the spectator note, i didn't realize that was the reason I've been unable to join spectate. now i've gotta yell at lumino to stop afking

Hmmm. I didn't realize spectator was limited to 2.

 

I added something, so you can now type spectate in console or !spectate, !afk, !away in chat and you'll be moved to spectate.

Hahaha sorry Mccain! Honestly afk spectating is the most stable way to afk since the gungame server keeps on dropping me. However I didn't know that there were only 2 spectators allowed in CS:GO which is sort of stupid if you ask me. I won't afk anymore in spec man sorry about that lol.

 

On a related note, bonbon if possible, can you find a way to increase the number of spectators allowed? It'd be cool to be able to go afk on the CS:GO jailbreak again since it's highly stable. If not that's alright too .
