Hey Guys its FatCat here. We realize that it is not possible for our staff to catch every aggressor in our division although with your help we can catch a majority of them.

Our goal is to give our players the best trading experiences and not have to hesitate to join our servers. All that being said, we would like to achieve our goal with your help by reporting players who are making the server unpleasant.

First off before submitting a report please read our rules and be sure somebody is breaking them.

Our Trade Server rules:

[spoiler=Show Rules] TF2 General Server Rules:

Play the game. Have fun

If the server is getting full and there are spectators, ask them through ADMIN chat to join, if they are not there, kick them to free up slots

GENERAL RULES

FOR PLAYERS:

No Cheats, exploits or 3rd party tools that give you an unfair advantage over other players.

No ghosting.

Be respectful to everyone! A certain amount of smack-talk is ok, but do not be disrespectful.

No sexual harassment of female players.

Do not be racist or use racist terms! These servers are for everybody.

No useless spamming of the mic, text, or radio. That means no songs/soundbytes, especially if fellow players are complaining.

No recruiting or advertising for other clans in here.

Do not wear the -hg- / [HG] / HG | tag unless you are an HG member!

No name impersonation of ANYONE, especially not HG members.

No horrid/pornographic sprays (nothing below the belt).

If you are caught trying to crash or lag the server you will be permanently banned.

FOR ADMINS:

Admins must abide by the same rules as players.

Admins MUST warn a wrongdoer in ADMIN chat before punishing (except for hackers).

Permanent ban is last resort only (except for hackers).

Bans must be accompanied by a ban report on the HG forums within 1 day of the ban. Ban reports must include proof of wrongdoing, such as a screenshot or a demo.

Do not speak incessantly in ADMIN chat. Use it for official actions, not to carry out a conversation.

Do not have admin wars in front of players. Use TEAM ADMIN chat or take the argument elsewhere.

Do not mass mute, mass kick, or do anything to adversly affect an entire team.

Do not cause trouble as an excuse to use powers.

Use your powers to keep the server fun.

Trade Server Specific Rules:

Do Not Sell/Trade Steam Accounts or CD Keys

No Sharking (purposeful misrespresentation of item value)

No Scamming (obviously)

No spamming text/binds or voice

Spycrab games valuing a Bills hat or above require an admin middleman

Running from a game of spycrab will result in a ban

Do not use hacks, exploits, or glitches

Have fun

When filling a report you will want to have concrete evidence so we can take action without no hesitation. As we are a community the last thing we would want to do is ban a innocent player. That is why we are strict on our bans. EVEN if a player does not merit a ban please post a report anyways! That includes microphone spam and chat spam. You may ask your self Why would I report somebody if its not a bannable offence? The Answer: Even though its not a bannable offence, misconduct adds up and eventually leads to a ban.

How to get concrete evidence?

1) Make use of the source demo. How do you record a video/demo? Type in "record nameoftherecording" in console. To stop videotaping type "Stop" in console.

2) Take screenshots by pressing f12. Screenshots can show chatspam, racism in chat, possible admittance of scamming and ect.(Demos are better but screenshots still work.)

3) Copy the wrong doings chat log and paste it into notepad until you are ready to submit the report

~Feel free to scroll up in chat and screenshot to show previous wrong doings.

PS: We have acess to the ChatLogs

What you will want to include in your demo /screenshots.

Type "thetime" in server chat to show the current time in tf2. This helps us find a exact time in our logs.

Type "Status" In console and underline the aggressors name. This allows us to verify the steam id is correct on the guy you are reporting. It also allows us to see what server the problem was on.

Where do you find the demos you have recorded?

Windows

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\team fortress 2\tf

OR for (32 BIT)

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\team fortress 2\tf

IOSX

C:\Users\MacUser\Documents\Steam Content\common\team fortress 2\tf

Where do you find the screenshots you snaped?

Screenshots can be found by "Right Clicking" The Steam Icon at the bottom of your desktop>Screenshots>Select your Image>Press "SHOW ON DISK" The picture SHOULD be located at the bottom of the folder.

When all is captured please send a report to the following link. Please attach your demos/screenshots in the "Attach Files" Bellow your created topic.

Link to report:https://hellsgamers.com/hgbans.php

Please submit a brief report on what happened. Something's may not be apparent in screenshots/demos unless you mention them.

Type: "Status" in console, find the players name, ***STEAM UPDATE DISSALLOWED YOU TO VIEW OTHERS STEAM ID*** Copy after your name where It says Steam_ to the first space.

For example this is my steam id.

# 118 "[HG] PVT.FatCat Jeorey[No Sound]" STEAM_0:0:19337073 01:46 146 0 active

To find extra info on a player please make use of http://steamidconverter.com/ .

Awesome Script For Recording

I have created a script for the convenience of reporting a player quickly and efficiently.

What My Script Does:

Records a demo,

Records "thetime" in chat,

Records FPS, TPS In/Out and your ping.

Records Console Status

And shows the Scoreboard

All at the same time. This was created to generate the most info on a server in regards to reporting a player or players. Please note this nwill work with any console based steam game.

Console Bind=

Bind Key "record quickdemo;wait 1;net_graph 1;wait 25;say thetime;wait 25;status;wait 25;+showscores;wait 100;-showscores"

(To record)

Bind Key "Stop;net_graph 0"

(This is to stop the recording)

PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU RECORD AGAIN, YOUR DEMO WILL BE REPLACED. MAKESURE YOU UPLOAD THE PROOF, BEFORE USING THE BIND AGAIN, UNLESS THE DEMO HAD NO PROOF DO NOT REPLACE THE OTHER DEMO.

Everything looks good guys.

@Sonick-- We do allow minimal sharking, some people would count rounding up on a price or trying to profit. We don't allow more severe sharking.

I just took that straight from the rules on the trade server. Realistically if people are using the !pc command they don't have to worry about that.

Let me know when you want me to delete the stuff I posted. Also, May wanna give the command to change screenshots from tga to jpeg so people don't take the screenshots and wonder why they can't open them.

In Console

Type bind f12 jpeg

Also type jpeg_quality 100

This will make the jpeg quality higher so the screenshots are more clear

For me my photos work fine I never had to change the quality or the format. I think mine are png's though. Anyways that shoulden't be a problem for proof. I want to try to keep this post as simple as possible. But Thanks! You did point out other things before that I included in my post.

Oh and about the removig post thing. Toomany people commented alredy it would be pointless. When this post is full proof I may just make a new post and ask a admin to lock it. For now Its open for ideas as it is not perfect.

With the Steampipe conversion today my screen shot location has been moved to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\48865943\760\remote\440\screenshots.

Not sure if this happened for everyone else.

Demos were moved to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf
