kimzy
So I've been trying to trade my knives for more expensive knives little by little and got a lot of people adding me. I'm sure lots of you guys do the same but I give y'all a heads up. 2 people added me so far trying to get my log in info in the past 24 hours, they use the same technique. I reported both of them and would appreciate it if you guys would do the same. http://steamcommunit.../id/9788657453/ this guy and http://steamcommunit...61198017832433/ this guy I'll add proof in images. there's plenty of accounts doing that so keep an eye open, you can tell the link they link to you is not a steam link but when you open it it looks exactly like the real deal, asking you to log in there. when you do so (obviously) they have your account info and they can steal your knife. The people that have added me are people either working together or the same shitface with different accounts asking me to trade my bayonet for a karambit (case hardened). As retarded as I might seem... I know it's not worth a karambit knife lol. PS: looks like I lost the screenshot I made of the good job guy but I'm adding the other one. EDIT: when they log in from web adding you for the knife they're almost definitely trying to fuck you over Edited March 3, 2014 by Kimzy 2 Quote Link to comment

RedDevil6193
LOL bitches be crazy, i have gotten to fake steam rep middles mans, paying me in 400 worth of steam gift card which dont exist but it did for that dude, showing me factory new and then adding some shitty exterior in trades and then saying oh they both look same lol, and many more that i forgot. I usually do this http://steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/?partner=68487298&token=zWjmkyA6 they can send me a trade request without being on my steam which gets rids of most of bs. 2 Quote Link to comment

But you gotta be pretty dense to fall for it. to make it look "legit" he typed in trade window chat some bullshit about "48,89 dollars from steam wallet has been added to the trade" lol... silly people Here's his account http://steamcommunity.com/id/fraktale/ please report 1 Quote Link to comment
xWolfpack
Which website do you use for trading? I am on csgolounge and like everytime I bump my thread some bots add me. By the way, I think those "bots" are hacked steam accounts, one of them was once in my friendslist and he was a very reasonable trader. They started already offline messages without adding me ....... kimzy
I just put it on the steam market from which people add me. I heard csgolounge is good though but never used it. Quote Link to comment
Comic King
And this is why i use Google Adsense to earn legit monies. People just can't have nice things anymore... Quote Link to comment
xWolfpack
Now it's really important! They just became smarter and started faking csgolounge, and that looks 1:1 real since they use a capital i instead of the L in lounge. That's fucked up. Don't trust links from persons you don't know! Seriously. I compared it because I couldn't find the difference on first look and I only noticed it when I copied it into my browser where the Capital I was shown as I ..... just don't fucking log in anywhere when you are not 100% sure about it........... [spoiler=And I suggest you to block this profile from all messages since he is using csgoiounge.com, the most dangerous, the rest is using csrgolounge or something]http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198037820588/ Edited March 4, 2014 by omgWolf Quote Link to comment

IvoryG37
I know that they steal your info from the link but how do they bypass that verification thing that requires your email? Does anyone know? i've always wondered about that since I always have to enter in those random numbers that steam sends to my email when I log in from a diff computer. Quote Link to comment

A large amount of people use the same passwords or they ask for the code. Edited March 6, 2014 by Short Quote Link to comment

Does anyone know? i've always wondered about that since I always have to enter in those random numbers that steam sends to my email when I log in from a diff computer. Well, this is what happened to me. I was tired when I clicked the link and it was in steam overlay so I was in the middle of a pub too. Fake link, asks for code, sends email to me and you put in the code. Now what really got me was the fact that they used a proxy with my ISP, in the city to request the code from. Beginning of my IP, , the one they used. They got it down to the first 5 digits, the same city. Usually I don't notice anything if I see the first 2 sets of numbers are the same, so I ignored that and just put in the code. I was pretty impressed at that part because I've never heard of someone doing it before, really catches you off guard. 1 Quote Link to comment
