How to play:

  • Human players start with 250 Worth during the warm-up phase every round.
  • Zombies gain twice the health and slightly more barricade point earnings.
  • Same ZS gameplay rules: humans try to survive; zombies try to eat 'em.

Who can play:

  • Everyone!

Event rules:

  • Only HG Recruit+ eligible for badge.
  • Only Friend of HG+ eligible for prizes.
  • Must be in TS event channel + game server for at least an hour to be eligible for badge + prizes.
  • All HeLLsGamers rules apply.

General HG rules:

  • NO cheats, exploits, glitching, or 3rd party tools that give you an unfair advantage over other players.
  • NO ghosting.
  • DO NOT be disrespectful.
  • NO sexual harassment of players.
  • DO NOT be racist or use racial terms.
  • NO useless spamming of the mic, text, or radio. That means no songs/soundbites, especially if fellow clan members or players are complaining.
  • NO recruiting or advertising for other clans in here.
  • DO NOT wear the -hg- / [HG] / HG | tag unless you are a part of HG and are assigned that rank.
  • NO name impersonation of anyone.
  • If you are caught trying to crash or lag the server, you will be permanently banned.

Prizes:

3500 ZS points will be raffled off to 5 participants each.

Thanks for the great event, it has been fun while it lasted. What I'm about to say is probably not new and maybe you have seen it already but I will give my feedback here on what I think should change:

- Zombies get 1.5x health instead of 2x

- 1.5x barricade points gain instead of 1.25x

- 1.25 points gain

- Make the waiting at the beginning one minute longer

- Make General Roasterrock get 50% more armor

Other than that it was all great, your idea is new and unique finally an event to be added to the collection other than PP and points multiplier. And players reaction in the server was pretty normal because the event was not tested in high population so it is normal not to know the outcome.

I appreciate the feedback @Old Bill. My thoughts on them are as follows:

One thing I might do is remove the barricade point multiplier and just keep the 2x health boost for zombies, while providing humans more worth and making barricades have more overall health to balance out the durability between humans and zombies. Because zombies can't deal more damage when this plugin is on and they can land more hits on a barricade before dying, barricades can be tankier.

I won't add the point gain because again, I'm trying to avoid making events where point multipliers are added. They ruin the uniqueness of events because point multipliers happen very often, especially since we now have our weekly Terrible Tuesdays event.

That's not necessary. It sucks if one connects late, but the extra minute would not make a huge difference for this event alone. It might do well if this was an update to our server overall, but I don't think it should only apply for this event plugin.

Zombies don't inflict more damage w/ this event plugin enabled, and Roasterrock can still insta-kill zombies with his RPG, even zombies at around 500+ health, so this is unnecessary.

 

For the most part, there wasn't proper testing of this plugin due to the ZS server having acted up and broke down from fried server hardware, and playtesting is essential for anything gameplay-related to ensure it operates and is balanced as intended. Myself and the other Gmod developers will ensure that future ZS events are playtested before they are pushed to live.

I'm with you in your first two points, but the third one is not just because people take longer to join. It is also for those who are able to join quicker than the others to have longer time to make the barricade sometimes one of the reasons humans die fast in the event is that they dont have enough time to make a proper front or a barricade at all that is why I suggested the extra minute.

About the last point I have been the general in the event and I have seen someone else go as him, believe me it was a different experience the durability in zombies especially zombine makes it way harder, insta-kill with RPG did not always happen especially with zombies being able to get traits faster like enhanced zombie and thicker skin. Which is why I think giving him extra armor would make things more even.

This event was extremely buggy (the zombies health not getting changed until an hour in lmao) but I appreciate the effort put into it and I personally enjoyed it heavily. If it does get ran again I wouldn’t be against it (if the problems others have already pointed out got fixed lol).

You bring up an interesting point @Old Bill. I will go ahead and make improvements to the plugin using this suggestion.

As for the extra few seconds before Wave 1 starts, that was already done with our current and latest update.
