HG Leadership Council Results - 2017 Edition

Before I say anything, I just want to personally thank you for participating in this election if you have! Also, I want to thank the participants for expressing your interest in HellsGamers Upper Leadership. Without you guys, we couldn't have made this possible at all. During this process, the Elections Committee has reviewed each participant to see who's the best fit for all of these positions. Along that, we've also reviewed the votes. Some were really close, and some were not-so-close. Last election, we decided that Staff+ and Member+ were both pooled in to determine the winner for each position.
 
For this year, we've made it so that Staff+ was heavily weighted toward a certain candidate and the Members+ vote helped break ties to see who fits the best spot for the position PLUS a better general vision to see who is the absolute best fit for that position.
 
Without further ado, here are your new Executive Council and Council Board of Directors:

Congratulations to our new board members! It is highly encouraged to spam their wonderful profiles with juicy, top quality memes (also not forgetting to congratulate them!).
Also, you may have noticed each position has a mentor. The goal of the mentor is to make sure that there is a smooth transition between the old and new candidates.
The winners of each position will take their full seat within a year while in the meantime, they are being trained by these Mentors. Once they have fully taken their spot as Director of X, then the mentors will be promoted to Senior Director (based on an evaluation if they succeed in their mentoring). Lead Directors are the current second year term elects.
As HG further progresses into the future, I'm looking forward for these candidates to express their ideas to benefit HG in every single way possible.
I look forward to their hard work for these Board members. It was a pleasure leading this year's Elections, and I hope you will continue to support us throughout the years to come.

How To Play/Rules:
 
The event will be a single elimination capture the flag event. It will be a best 2 out of 3 rounds. That means if you die, you stay out until the next round. To win a round, you either capture the enemy’s flag and bring it back to your side or you eliminate the enemy team. (Note: Your flag must be at your base for you to capture the flag.) Everyone will start with five-sevens. However, there’s a catch. If you successfully capture the enemy team’s flag, you will gain a perk (higher grade weapon) and you will NOT gain a perk if you eliminate the team, but you will still win the round. Weapons will be provided for the event.
 
There will be 2 teams. I will pick leaders of those 2 teams by having you guys post in the space below, a number between 1 and 100. The day of the event, I will use random.org to pick a number, and the 2 people with the closest number to mine will be the leaders. (If you don’t want to be a leader, you don’t have to post.) Those 2 leaders will choose one at a time from a “pool†of those who are attending the event to be on their team.

1st place team: $30,000 HG PERP CASH per player.

Your community has been invited to participate in Gaming Community Central’s League Extravaganza! This document’s purpose is to provide all information regarding the tournament.

2 - Tournament Information

2.1 - General Information
This tournament will be a double-elimination style tournament inside the game “League of Legendsâ€. Every community has guarantee of playing 2 games in two days of the tournament. This will take a total of 4 days. A total of 8 communities will participate in the League Extravaganza. This tournament will take place in the NORTH AMERICA server.



2.2 Dates & Times
The tournament will span 4 days. The confirmed dates are as followed. Assume that these commitments span the entire afternoon of each date. *This is the template to describe the Schedule. Each game is labeled by a number*
September 1 - Game 1,2,3,4,
September 2 - Game 7,8 12,5,6
September 3 - Game 9,10,11,13(BO3)
September 4 - Game 14 (BO3)
TIME TO START:
September 1 - 7:00pm EST
September 2 - 3:00pm EST
September 3 - 3:00pm EST
September 4 - 3:00pm EST







2.3 Prize Pool Information
Yes, we will be providing a prize pool for this tournament! 1st place overall will receive cash reward that goes 100% to the community funds. The cash reward for this tournament will be transferred via the public donation page within each communities websites.



2.4 Rules for Participants
All participants must be affiliated with their communities in such way:
Participant is a recognized member in their community via recruitment process
Participant has a registered account on the communities forums
Participant must have activity on the forums/servers/VOIP before or during the month of July 2017.
Participant's name in-game must match the name submitted on the roster application.
Participant must be Level 30.
Participant must be ranked inside Season 6/7.
Participants foreign to NA: Yes, you are allowed to play! As long as your EUW account fulfills the requirements to participate (see above), your NA smurf is allowed to play as long as it is above level 10.
Participants must be ready 30 minutes before their scheduled game.
There is ZERO tolerance for toxicity and disrespect. The proper punishment will be according to the situation. Ranges from warning to team/player disqualification.
There is ZERO tolerance for smurfing. Any confirmed smurfs will result in disqualification of team.
Communicate any concerns or rule breaking to event admins with solid evidence.





2.5 Disclaimers
Donations towards GCC and the tournament will not increase chances of winning the tournament
In the event of individual prizing, subs will not be considered. Top 5 players with most games will receive individual prizing.
By competing and participating, each individual grants permission to use likeness, name, statistics, statements, and community affiliation for broadcasting and promotional purposes for the tournament.
GCC reserves the right to amend/remove/add rules whenever necessary and justified.
All leadership,participants, and members are subject to their community guidelines and code of conduct while participating within GCC property.

HISTORY
 
To catch up on what this is, for those of you who are new to HG, check out Phase 1 (lower management restructure) and Phase 2 (final, upper management restructure & first annual Elections).
 
 
 
What’s New:
Each year we will bring on new Directors through an annual Elections process by our Staff & Member votes per the Future & Direction Board guidelines. This doesn’t mean all our current Directors lose their position or have to re-run, please read carefully below as we’ve done our best to accommodate current Leadership, while also bringing in new faces for innovation and longevity of the community.

Current Directors:
Each Director is given the option to commit to a 2nd year term and remain the same rank. Each person is currently being contacted directly by Huejay for a TS3 conversation.
Current Directors that commit to a 2nd term will have one additional responsibility, which includes mentoring the incoming elected Director till the end of the active term.
The HG Handbook states that Directors may hold a Director position for up to 2-years, we’ve made it so they are not required to re-run for a position for their second term.
Current Directors that commit to a 2nd year and complete their term including successful mentorship of their successor, will be promoted to Senior Director. Senior Directors do not have a term limit. Senior Director is the most prestigious rank awarded in HG Leadership.

Current Associate/Assistant Directors:
Current Leadership positions for Associates/Assistants will remain the same, however your position can be subject to change at a later date by the discretion of the newly elected Director with an approval by Chief of Staff.

Newly Elected Directors:
Director-Elects will have a new title (TBA) and be mentored by the incumbent Director to learn the ropes.

 
HG LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
 
'Council's Board' consists of any Director or higher position either elected or appointed.
'Executive Council's Board' is kept small and nimble to facilitate easier scheduling for meetings.

CANDIDATES
There will be NO campaigning allowed.
Nominees will be contacted by Private Message regarding their Candidacy.
Candidates will be announced in TWO weeks, September 5th, 2017.

VOTING
There will be NO campaigning allowed.
Only internal leadership, eg. Staff and higher ranks are eligible to vote.
Elected candidates are promoted by leadership-wide majority vote.
In addition to the primary leadership-only vote, there will be a popular vote that all HG Member+ can participate, which will slightly weigh into the winner results.

REQUIREMENTS
 
Requirements to run for one (or more) HG Leadership Council Elected position:
Must be 18+ years of age.
One year commitment. Option to renew for a 2nd year commitment without having to re-run.
Must be an HG Member or higher rank for a minimum or 6 months since your HG Member Promotion thread acceptance date.
Clean record (no bans, no “derogatory†marks, no “confirmed†abuse reports)
Note: Current Staff can run for a Director Position in addition to remaining as a Staff of their respective Division(s).
Note: Current Leaders can run for a new Director Position, BUT will be required to step down to Staff within their respective Division(s).

Requirements to apply to become a 'Staff Member' for one (or more) of the HG Leadership Committees:
Must be an HG Member or higher rank for a minimum or 3 months since your HG Member Promotion thread acceptance date.

Players must take the ball and successfully score it in one of the opposing team's goals.
