Uni
It requires around 95% of the playerbase to rtv in order for a map to be changed (around that percentage, not sure of the exact number), so perhaps we can decrease it a little? (75% maybe?)

Snowyamur
Good and bad could come from this. Reducing it helps players, a majority of whom hate the current map, force a map vote to change to a better map, but the problem is that this can be abused. Even maps that aren't bad but players hate for various reasons will force them to shout out for an !rtv, and given how players on our server are, everyone's going to follow the moment they hear it, and then a decent map gets wasted over people being butt hurt over the current map. !rtv was set at a high threshold for a reason. If almost everyone currently online hates the map they're playing right now on our ZS server, then the !rtv is bound to go through. Reducing it would only cause self-centered people to !rtv out of maps they don't like, instead of !rtv'ing because everyone doesn't like the current map. Also, seems like Unjo stole your idea for this one on Discord @Uni.
Uni
I agree with you Snowy, there can both be postitive and negative outcomes. (Maybe Unjo and I had the same idea? I don’t think he checks forums that often) edit: I just checked out the discord suggestion voting and Unjo’s solution seems pretty viable Edited June 28, 2019 by Uni
Old Bill
@Snowyamur If changing the vote percentage is not hard, then why don't we try having it 75% and see how it goes, if it gets abused then it can go back to what it is now.
McLovin
Maybe change it to 85% would be good
Talbot
The reason why RTV was increased to 95% was due to zombies using it against T6 cades.
Snowyamur
Quote If changing the vote percentage is not hard, then why don't we try having it 75% and see how it goes, if it gets abused then it can go back to what it is now. @Old Bill I think there was a time when we adjusted the RTV system by lowering the percent of players required to say "Yes" for it to succeed, and when that happened, players abused it. What @Talbot says above is proof of this. By lowering the required percentage for the RTV to succeed, players who dislike maps because they don't like it and/ or don't want T6 cades to win will exploit this change and yell out an RTV vote for stupid reasons. As I said above, given that most players on our server listen to the first person who shouts something out, if someone shouts out for an RTV, others will subconsciously follow, turning the system into a tool players use for their own selfish reasons. Testing the waters is fine, but when it has to be done live, that's risky, and most of us already know what could happen should we lower the required vote percentage for an RTV to succeed. Quote Maybe change it to 85% would be good Sure, that could work. Or go with 80% to be safe.
