rhinos
buff up the shade rock to atleast 50 damage or something similar before the nerf. Now the only thing that people complained about it being so OP is because the shade either had double damage or the difficulty was just below 2. I have never killed anyone with a rock in 1 shot, unless i have dd or the diff is high. 10 damage is just ridiculous, why nerf it to 10 damage when no one even uses it might as well remove the ability to pick up rocks. Talbot
Make it do 30, or maybe make it knock down people Just my 2 cents
pho-
I don't think any buffs for it are needed, shade doesn't need a rock
Guest
@pho- Maybe if the rocks were only able to be pulled out of sedimentary terrain (IE Rock, Concrete, Asphalt, Cement etc.) it could be made more situational, yet more viable. An example of terrain specific abilities includes the Headcrab, Molted Headcrab and Fire Headcrabs ability to burrow into natural terrain (IE Dirt, Sand, Grass etc.)
pho-
@Genuline Yes of course, this makes it more immersive and addresses the issue of how the shade pulls a rock out of nothingness; could also make it so the rock changes based on what it's pulled from? Either way, NO damage value tweaks are needed for the rock. Shade throws props, not rocks. It's main damage should come from prop throwing mechanics
Snowyamur
Why was the Shade able to deal damage by throwing rocks to begin with? Isn't its main role supposed to be a one-hit kill assassin by launching any prop at a high velocity towards human players?
Dolphin_
As someone who personally loves pushing out by himself, I would say that this should indeed be buffed by at least 30 dmg. It's already easy to dodge just by strafing, we should give the humans something to fear for.
