The Human team now has the "Reforger", whilst the Zombie team has the new "Rebirther". Both function similarly in the manner that they upgrade your class/weapons for the duration of the game . The Reforger functions in a manner that requires you to trade in "Fundamentals" and "Blueprints". Trading in this newly added currency will temporarily upgrade your gun for the rest of the game. To get Fundamentals you will need to kill zombies; Fundamentals: Headcrab: 2 Ghoul: 2 Zombie: 2 Fast Headcrab: 2 Poison Zombie: 5 Armoured Headcrab: 4 Immolator: 5 Meteoric Immolator: 7 Zombine: 7 Nightmare Revenant: 7 Elite Zombine: 9 Tormentor: 5 All torsos/legs: 2 Rest of the zombies: 3 Blueprints: Any boss/special zombie: 5 Super Mauler: 35 Super Bosses: 25 Any of the rebirthed bosses: 10 Other: Final wave DH Zombies -During DH(normal class): 15 Fundamentals -Not DH(Boss): 10 Blueprints You will get fundamentals/blueprints depending on how much damage you dealt. The goal is to create 3 separate paths for every single human weapon, named A, B and C. Path A and B will be minor upgrades to your weapon to specialise in one stat while trading off other stats, i.e you can upgrade your accuracy but you will lose some fire rate. Both Path A and B will utilise Fundamentals. Path C takes a different approach in that it transforms your weapon into another; by using Blueprints farmed from bosses, you can choose to transform or "reforge" your weapon into another; i.e, currently you will be able to upgrade the Fists into the newly added Resuscitator. An extended list for what is currently possible is below: Reforger: ---------------T1--------------- "Bullseye" Handgun: Path A -> "Emporium" Beretta M92FS (24 funds) Path A -> "Tactical" Emporium remaining gaps and creating new weapons/archtypes. Eventually every weapon path will be filled, with different stat specialisation for Paths A and B, and completely new weapon models for Path C. Then what is the "Rebirther" ? By applying a similar concept of trading a by-game earned currency, Zombies will also be able to utilise temporary upgrades in the form of the "Rebirther". By trading Brains for the metamorphosis of a specific class for the rest of the game. Currently the list is as follows: Rebirther Bloated > Shambler Bloated (2 brains 1000 BP) Zombie > Flayed Zombie (2 brains 1000 BP) > Blood Zombie (2 brains 2000 BP) Burster > Putrid Zombie (5 brains 5000 BP) Fast Zombie > Starved Zombie (2 brains 1000 BP) Alpha Ghoul > Omega Ghoul (3 brains 2000 BP) Poison Zombie > Wild Poison Zombie (2 brains 1000 BP) Headcrab > Blood Headcrab (2 brains 1000 BP) > Armored Headcrab (3 brains 3000 BP) Immolator > Meteoric Immolator (4 brains 5000 BP) Skeletal Shambler > Tormentor (5 brains 2500 BP) Zombine > Elite Zombine (5 brains 1000 BP) Revenant > Leviathan (5 brains 3000 BP) Cremator > Incinerator (8 brains 5000 BP) Legion > Crimson Legion (2 brains 2000 BP) > Ancient Legion (5 brains 5000 BP) Hunter > Extirpator (8 brains 5000 BP) Wendigo > Scavenger (4 brains 1500 BP) > Feral Scavenger (5 brains 2500 BP) Howler > Tomb Raiser (3 brains 1500 BP) > Conjurer (5 brains 2500 BP) > Soul (8 brains 5000 BP) Devourer > Doom Devourer (3 brains 2000 BP) Leecher > Reaper (3 brains 2500 BP) Shade > Spirit (3 brains 1500 BP) > Poltergeist (5 brains 3500 BP) (Shadow Shade also mutates into this class) Mauler > Super Mauler (8 brains 5000 BP) Tickle Monster > Tickle Demon (5 brains 3500 BP) Tickle Nightmare > Tickle Devil (8 brains 5000 BP) Puke Pus > Putrid Pus (3 brains 3000 BP) Electro Pus > Putrid Electro (3 brains 3000 BP) Nightmare > Steadfast Nightmare (8 brains 5000 BP) (overhauled) Wraith > Phantom (3 brains 1000 BP) Apparition > Banshee (3 brains 1000 BP) Butcher > Axeman (2 brains 2000 BP) Chrono Butcher > Chrono Axeman (4 brains 2000 BP) The Grave Keeper > Verdugo (3 brains 2000 BP) Bonemesh > Marrow Mesh (8 brains 5000 BP) Each class will cost a different amount of brains to upgrade, and you will retain the upgrade up until the next map. We will continue to add more upgrade-able classes to Zombies as we add more to the Humans. Light blue text means new. 5 2
Snowyamur
Do you all have playtesters for this kind of stuff? I am definitely all down for what this is going to be, but please make sure you have people, preferably from our server, playtest this stuff to ensure it's not only what you intended for this to be, but that it balances well with other features in the game.
pho-
Yes of course, a testing session was done just a couple days ago and each time things are added they are thoroughly tested. But as usual it's hard to get a complete grasp of how it'll go compared to the live server.
Talbot
For reference Fundamentals: Any zombie: 1 Fundamental Boss: 10 Fundamentals Special Boss: 20 Fundamentals Super Bosses: 30 Fundamentals Blueprints: Boss: 5 Blueprints Special Boss: 10 Blueprints Super Boss: 20 Blueprints *Keep in mind these can change depending on how it plays once both features hit live. *In all cases, assists do not count towards earning these currencies

Snowyamur
Hopefully there will be ways to balance all of that new content before its live release because that's a lot of new weapon variants for the humans, whereas for the zombies, it's a smaller list. agitato
does that mean it'll replace crafting?

Reforger doesn't replace crafting -- it's there as a way to upgrade weapons, even crafted ones.
Dyren
I like the update and changes but i do have to wonder. Wouldn't it be more fair to get fundamentals based on damage done instead of whoever gets the last shot in? Later in the game it can be tough getting fundamentals because the people who got enough in the early game snowball and take all the kills because they do more damage. agitato
pho can you use light blue text (if you can) for the newly added items? it's more convenient and easier to find if there's anything new teehee
foxfox
Are there other documents to view the specific details of various weapon upgrades? It is too difficult to try every upgrade in the game.
