HeLLsGamers New Years Raffle As this extremely crazy 2020 year is at its end I would like to reflect a bit. HeLLsGamers has had a pretty good year. We had a successful 15-year anniversary gathering on discord, Our CS:GO Division is back on its feet and we have a good relationship with GFL, Several people have come back to our community, Our CE teams are getting built back up, Donations have been great, and seeing everyone come together to show support of our community is fantastic! We got our very own server box for the first time since the community was founded, Many new projects in the works currently and overall HeLLsGamers is just an awesome community to spend time in. 2021 is going to be another big year for us and the sky is the limit! Happy New Year everyone and cheers to many more! We will be conducting a Raffle on January 3rd, 2021. I would like to talk a little bit about HG’s finances, our history, and our future. Let me first say what I always say “that HG has never been about the money.” Some people like to joke about where the money is going...to Homer’s car rims or pizza, that is fine to rumer, but the reality is...it's reinvested to growing the community or it’s saved and not touched. You may wonder, what does that mean. Well, we have been around for 15 years. That is a long time. There are ups and downs for a community and I learned we need to account for that so that we can keep HG running for as long as possible. During the last 15 years, we have had our good years and bad years. Our best years were 2007-2010, during that time anything extra was reinvested into growing the community or it was saved and not touched. We had up to 70 game servers at one point! Then there is 2014-2018, our worst years of slow decline, due to multiple factors, for example: CS:Source player base dying out, which we were known for having the most populated servers. As well during this time my personal involvement was greatly reduced due to me having to focus on college (HG Sirius stepped up to run things). With slowly dying servers and struggling to break into crowded CSGO, as well trying other games...during 2014-2018 we would have died if it wasn't for the money saved from prior years and by the end of 2018 there was no more saved money to subsidize costs with and I was contributing leftover operating costs out of my pocket each month. During these years, I created the HG Future & Direction Board and we got to work on rebuilding the Leadership structure and we worked on getting a new version of our website done (the current one you are using). We then released the new website late 2018 and worked on rebuilding our VIP/GOLD subscribers and donations so that I could stop having to contribute out of pocket, this took all year and you may remember seeing me post Discord Announcements asking for any help we could get with donations each month. We struggled but we made it with everyone’s support. Each month since then with the new website and new Leadership structure, we have continued to grow with a bright future. Today, we now own our first piece of hardware ever, the Ryzen box, which you all made possible. This is huge for us and our growth going forward. It lowers our monthly operational costs the less we rent server machines and move to owning and colocating our machines. Going forward, my goal is to continue to work on growth and owning more of our hardware and renting less, as well to one day be able to put HG into perpetuity. This is an optimistic goal that may take awhile and includes me investing my own money so that interest earned on money saved/invested can one day take over paying HG’s monthly operational costs, but its an awesome goal to have because that means that HG can theoretically live forever..no matter what happens to the various fluctuations of income that HG currently relies on month-to-month to keep our lights on..HG can continue to operate for as long as there are active members of this community and willing individuals that step up and run for Director positions during our annual HG Elections Happy New Years & Cheers to a bright future for HG

I forgot my case doesn't fit full ATX motherboards, so I had to customize my case to fit the new one in. The case should look like this. I'm not sure how I oversighted this, but it'll never happen again. Also I'm sure the PSU is fine where it is for now.....

this has me worried for the 1650 in the raffle going in my 8 year old pc but we'll see whats up when I open for the first time since then LOL

My new years resolution: To Get my 2001 Honda Cr-V completely fixed and be zoomin. Graduate from the high-school ya know my diploma yurr. Umm I was gonna say become a member, but I already became it.

My New Years resolutions: become an HG member and get closer to this amazing community; improve my language skills because I am still studying English; find something else that I could love as much as I love HG. What do I want to be added in HG: surf and deathrun minigames in LR; get my favourite LR machine back.

I would also be interested in this...Gun Game, Jailbreak, Deathmatch, and Rats servers were always my favs.

Everything can be solved with a little bit of cutting

The hardships this community has gone through to maintain servers and the website is a bit upsetting but it will never die. We as the community have your back no matter what to see this community and it's people grow from it, there are good job experiences from doing work for HG which is plus. I'm glad you are taking a big step forward as the owner and the improvement of many years together as HG keeps getting more people and servers into the community one step at a time Here's to 2021 and ∞

This is the kind of transparency me and many other members from the GMod community were looking from you, Homer. Thank you for making such a well-written post and clearing the air of any false rumors and lies that were [somehow?] still circulating about in the GMod community. As someone who's been part of HG for a long time, first as a member, now as one of its HGDC leaders, it has been a privilege to work with talented and dedicated people who continue to willingly put in their time and effort to helping this community grow. To see this community still alive 15 years running, now making this huge leap forward into 2021 with its first-ever owned server box and its partnership with Humble Bundle, is exciting, and I can't wait to see what more awaits this community, be it through new partnerships, cross-community collaborations, or improved servers. Here's to a bright 2021 year for the HeLLsGamers community.

Is this still happening with the new box? I am not sure as to how successful the other JB server was but I would be excited for this as I know a lot of people still play CSS JB.
