    People just need to pay more attention and work together, big issue with obj is if there isn't somebody willing to lead all the noobs die to the map. Imo this doesn't need to be changed from current state.

    I might be alone here, but I would say Slender Fortress. The original idea is great, but the official version / servers have too much unnecessary content, if the bosses (What you get chased by in SF) were strictly from Source / GoldSrc games or mods, it could be good. Featuring lesser known enemies and monsters from those old horror mods or just S/GS games in general, it could feel like a well rounded server. Just some examples for where you can get some inspiration for bosses for the server and some of the games here already have enemies / monsters in the official version of SF2. - Paranoia (HL2 Mod) - Grey Mod (HL2:EP2 Mod) - Cry of Fear (HL1 Mod) - They Hunger (HL1 Mod, I would recommend using the High Definition Pack found on MODDB for better quality models / sounds) - Afraid of Monsters (HL1 Mod, I would also recommend using the Directors Cut version of the mod for better quality models / sounds) And not to get hopes up high (I doubt this idea will make it past this page kek) I could do some mapping for HG unique maps, I've had a knack for horror related media and I know what to do right and wrong, and I've gotten used to the version of Hammer they use to make the official maps.

    We're looking for some good suggestions and feedback as to what kinds of new TF2 servers everyone would like to see. Examples: Dodgeball Server Zombie Survival Server Orange Server etc. Please give your suggestion and some good reasons as to why it would be a fun server to have as well as why it would be an easily populatable and popular server. We would be replacing one of the existing servers with potential new one(s).

    I say that when someone is actually gagged in the server, the player model has an actual gag ball (with a strap around the mouth) added onto their player model...because why not? can i get a +1?

    Yea that sounds all good to me, gives humans a better chance at surviving with more players joining but no too much so that map gets too easy. Also doesn't give a bad taste in people's mouths joining for the first time on obj.

    Based on what @F00L said, now I'm starting to agree with him. I guess I was just frustrated with losing too early into objective maps that this just came out as some irritated urge. Let me revise how this integration should go: On objective maps, players can join and be placed on the human team before and during Intermission as usual. Following Intermission, for the first 10 - 15 minutes, any new player that joins our server on the first entrance (they load into the map or join the server on the first try), they are automatically placed on the human team. At any point should they crash or leave and return on the second try, they will become a zombie. If they join 10 - 15 minutes after the Intermission, they will become a zombie.

    Ye this is a good idea. It doesn't damage the experience in any way due to it being optional. I say yes yes and yes. Plus how DARE you forget about roberazo and his vids? They are gud too

    I have two sides for this topic. One side is telling me that, yes this idea is genius and allows late joiners to get to be human again and increase the chances of wins on obj maps. While the other side that I side with the most is a big no, how this idea is bad to some extent. Winning obj should be very VERY hard imo, that's what makes winning it enjoyable and 100 times better than the idea were going for right now. Maybe make it so that the first 10-15 minutes of the map people will be assigned to human team? And then it will be zombie. I can see adding this for late joiners, but definitely not for the entire duration of the map.

    My main issue with the zs spawn is that the fact it based on how long you are to the humans regardless if there is a maze that takes ~30 seconds to get around. Now I don't know if it is feasable in gmod but maybe have a top down view of the map(similar to csgo battle royal) and have a bunch of points representing maps default spawns,player created spawns and players who are suitable to be spawns.
